Ear Shaping

The CranioWell baby ear corrector is a medical device for the non-surgical correction of ear deformities in newborns and young infants. It is designed for physician use and applied exclusively by trained healthcare providers.

What is the device?

The ear corrector is a set of small, soft components fitted to the baby's ear by a physician. The device gently holds the ear in a more natural position while the cartilage is still soft enough to reshape. No needles, no incisions and no anesthesia are involved.

Certification and registration

  • Turkish Patent registered — original intellectual property
  • ÜTS registered — listed as a medical device in the Turkish medical device tracking system
  • EUDAMED registered — listed in the European Union medical device database
  • R&D origin: Hacettepe Teknokent, Ankara, Türkiye

Deformities treated

  • Prominent (protruding) ears
  • Stahl's ear (elf ear)
  • Lop ear and lidding
  • Cup ear
  • Helical rim deformity
  • Conchal crus deformity
  • Cryptotia (partial)

Treatment process

  1. Examination: Physician identifies deformity type, checks skin, assesses candidacy
  2. Application: Device components fitted to the ear — no anesthesia
  3. Follow-up: Regular visits; device adjusted as cartilage responds
  4. Completion: Device removed when shape is maintained by the cartilage alone
