Baby Helmet Therapy: Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common parent questions about baby cranial helmet therapy: age, duration, discomfort, daily life, the HKM Pro helmet and more.

Here are answers to the questions parents ask most often about cranial helmet therapy for babies.
No. The HKM Pro does not squeeze the head. It redirects skull growth by creating space in the right areas. Most babies adapt to wearing it within a few days and show no signs of discomfort.
The ideal window is 4–6 months. Treatment is still possible up to about 12–18 months, but is most effective in the early months when the skull is growing fastest. More: ideal start age.
On average 3–6 months, depending on how old the baby was when treatment started and how severe the asymmetry is. Babies who start at 4–5 months tend to finish faster than those who start at 9–10 months.

The baby's head is measured with a 3D scanner (no radiation, no plaster cast). The HKM Pro is then produced to the exact shape of your baby's head. It is made in Türkiye at Hacettepe Teknokent.
